Taxonomy
Blattina succinea was named by Germar (1813). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber (Halle collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
It was synonymized subjectively with Blatta baltica by Heer (1864); it was recombined as Blatta succinea by Giebel (1856), Handlirsch (1907).
