Taxonomy
Leptorhynchos was named by Longrich et al. (2013). Its type is Ornithomimus elegans.
It was assigned to Caenagnathinae by Longrich et al. (2013) and Longrich et al. (2013); to Elmisaurinae by Funston et al. (2016); and to Caenagnathidae by Lamanna et al. (2014), Lü et al. (2015), Tsuihiji et al. (2015), Funston and Currie (2016) and Tsuihiji et al. (2017).
It was assigned to Caenagnathinae by Longrich et al. (2013) and Longrich et al. (2013); to Elmisaurinae by Funston et al. (2016); and to Caenagnathidae by Lamanna et al. (2014), Lü et al. (2015), Tsuihiji et al. (2015), Funston and Currie (2016) and Tsuihiji et al. (2017).
