Taxonomy
Dinokanaga andersoni was named by Archibald (2005). Its type specimen is SRIC SR01-06-01, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Republic, locality B4131, which is in a Ypresian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Klondike Mountain Formation of Washington.
