Taxonomy
Friularachne rigoi was named by Dalla Vecchia and Selden (2013). Its type specimen is MFSN 40302, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Rovadia Brook valley, Forni di Sopra, which is in an Alaunian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal dolomite in the Dolomia di Forni Formation of Italy. It is the type species of Friularachne.
