Taxonomy
Prisca wettinensis was named by Handlirsch (1906). It is an impression. Its type locality is Wettin, which is in a Stephanian C terrestrial shale in the Ottweiler Stufe Formation of Germany.
It was considered a nomen nudum by von Fritsch (1899); it was recombined as Glaphyrophlebia wettinensis by Hörnschemeyer and Stapf (2001).
