Gorgopsina frenata

Taxonomy
Phidippus frenatus was named by Koch and Berendt (1854). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Berendt collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Poland. It is the type species of Gorgopsina, Gorgopis.

It was recombined as Gorgopis frenata by Petrunkevitch (1942), Petrunkevitch (1946), Petrunkevitch (1950); it was recombined as Gorgopsina frenata by Żabka (1988), Wunderlich (2004), Dunlop et al. (2013).
