Taxonomy
Nanoctenus longipes was named by Wunderlich (1988). Its type specimen is GPIH 2542 and is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (GPIH collection), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
