Taxonomy
Mesozygiella dunlopi was named by Penney and Ortuño (2006). Its type specimen is MCNA 8938a, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Peñacerrada outcrop II, which is in an Albian terrestrial amber in the Escucha Formation of Spain.
