Taxonomy
Oonops seldeni was named by Penney (2000). Its type specimen is NHM PI IA 20, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican Amber (NHML/BMNH collection), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
It was recombined as Stenoonops seldeni by Marusik and Wunderlich (2008), Dunlop et al. (2013).
