Taxonomy
Mirometa valdespinosa was named by Petrunkevitch (1963). Its type specimen is UCMP 13036, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is UCMP B-7461, Pa-Buchil, Simojovel region, which is in a Miocene terrestrial amber in Mexico. It is the type species of Mirometa.
