Taxonomy
Parevophrys succini was named by Petrunkevitch (1942). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Copal (University of Cambridge coll), which is in a Holocene terrestrial amber in Tanzania.

It was recombined as Hyllus succini by Dunlop et al. (2013).
