Taxonomy
Eorpa ypsipeda was named by Archibald et al. (2013). Its type specimen is 2003.2.6-CDM-030, a wing (forewing overlapping a hind wing with the second hind wing preserved nearby), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is McAbee (CDM collection), which is in a Ypresian lacustrine - large mudstone in Canada. It is the type species of Eorpa.
