Taxonomy
Eorpa jurgeni was named by Archibald et al. (2013). Its type specimen is SFU Q-0096, a hindwing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Quilchena (SFU collection), which is in a Ypresian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Tranquille Formation of Canada.
