Heterologus langfordorum
Taxonomy
Heterologus langfordorum was named by Carpenter (1943). Its type specimen is ISM 14879, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Mazon Creek (Illinois State Museum collection), which is in a Westphalian D deltaic mudstone in the Carbondale Formation of Illinois. It is the type species of Heterologus.
