Taxonomy
Femurraptor dominicanus was named by Wunderlich (2011). Its type specimen is F433/DB/AR/CJW and is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Wunderlich collection), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic. It is the type species of Femurraptor.
