Eohalinobius hiddenseeensis was named by Wunderlich (2012). Its type specimen is Eichmann Ar-88 and is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber (Eichmann collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Germany.
