Silicamys cingulatus
Taxonomy
Silicamys cingulatus was named by Pickford et al. (2008). Its type specimen is SN 25'08, a tooth (right m/3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Silica North, which is in a Bartonian karst limestone in Namibia. It is the type species of Silicamys.
