Eosachacui was named by Frailey and Campbell (2004) [n. gen.]. It is not extant. Its type is Eosachacui lavocati.

It was assigned to Heteropsomyinae by Frailey and Campbell (2004); and to Octodontoidea by Arnal and Vucetich (2015).

C. D. Frailey and K. E. Campbell 2004Union of the protoloph and metaloph occurs near center of occlusal surface. Mesoflexus widens laterally. Protoloph large, slightly curved, with only a slight flexure at its union with the metaloph. Posteroloph highly variable, with multiple enamel projections into metaflexus, which may extend to metaloph.
