Coelacanthus madagascariensis
Taxonomy
Coelacanthus madagascariensis was named by Woodward (1910). Its type specimen is BMNH P10788, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Mahavavy river, Andogozo (BMNH collection), which is in a Dienerian marine shale in Madagascar.
