Brontogryllus excelsus
Taxonomy
Brontogryllus excelsus was named by Martins-Neto (1991). Its type specimen is AMA-I-031, a tegmen, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Crato (RGMN/UFC collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Brontogryllus.
