Taxonomy
Choristopanorpa drinnani was named by Jell and Duncan (1986). Its type specimen is NMVP102506, a wing (fore and hindwing), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is NMVPL425, Koonwarra, which is in an Aptian pond claystone/siltstone in Australia.
