Taxonomy
Stenurothrips succineus was named by Bagnall (1914). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Geologisch-Palaeontologisches Museum, Berlin, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Stenurothrips.
