Camarozonosporites was named by Potonié (1956). It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon.

It was assigned to Lycopodiales by Potonié (1956); to Selaginellaceae by Barreda et al. (2012); to Lycopodiaceae by De Benedetti et al. (2024); and to Selaginellales by Perez Loinaze et al. (2023), Perez Loinaze et al. (2025).
