Spargotermes costalimai
Taxonomy
Spargotermes costalimai was named by Emerson (1965). Its type specimen is DGAP 3904, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Fonseca village, Rio Piracicaba, Alvinopolis municipality, which is in a Priabonian lacustrine shale in the Fonseca Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Spargotermes.
