Glyptotermites assmuthi
Taxonomy
Calotermes (Glyptotermites) assmuthi was named by Armbruster (1941). Its type specimen is SMNS 2046, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Randeck Maar (Armbruster collection), which is in a MN 5 crater lake lime mudstone in the Randeck Maar Formation of Germany.
It was considered a nomen dubium by Nel and Paicheler (1993); it was recombined as Glyptotermites assmuthi by Krishna et al. (2013).
