Taxonomy
Rhinotermites dzierzoni was named by Armbruster (1941). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Randeck Maar (Armbruster collection), which is in a MN 5 crater lake lime mudstone in the Randeck Maar Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Rhinotermites.
