Taxonomy
Ulmeriella shizukuishiensis was named by Fujiyama (1983). Its type specimen is NSMT PA12212, a hindwing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Shizukuishi, Iwate Prefecture, which is in a Miocene lacustrine siliciclastic in the Masuzawa Formation of Japan.
It was considered a nomen dubium by Nel and Paicheler (1993).
