Taxonomy
Ulmeriella uemurai was named by Fujiyama (1983). Its type specimen is NSMT PA12210, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Miyata, Akita Prefecture, which is in a Miocene lacustrine siliciclastic in the Miyata Formation of Japan.
