Taxonomy
Metapronorites certus was named by Andrianov (1985). Its type specimen is YaF SO AN 55/345 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Muuss-Attyk river, Bytantay river basin, which is in a Sakmarian marine siliciclastic in the Echiy Formation of the Russian Federation.
