Taxonomy
Hadrokirus martini was named by Amson and Muizon (2013). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.SAS 1627, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sud-Sacaco West (SAS) horizon, which is in a Messinian foreshore siltstone in the Pisco Formation of Peru.
