Taxonomy
Metabuprestium arkagalense was named by Alexeev (2009). Its type specimen is PIN 1832/166, an elytra, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Arkagala locality, Tal-Yuryakh Creek (PIN collection 1832), which is in a Campanian terrestrial horizon in the Arkagalinskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
