Taxonomy
Aenne liasina was named by Ansorge (1999). Its type specimen is LGA 1474, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Klein Lehmhagen pit, Grimmen (LGA collection), which is in a Toarcian offshore shale in Germany.
