Taxonomy
Synorthophlebia sinuata was named by Handlirsch (1939). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Dobbertin, Mecklenburg (Greifswald collection), which is in a Toarcian offshore claystone in Germany.
It was recombined as Mesopanorpa sinuata by Martynova (1948) and Willmann (1978); it was recombined as Orthophlebia sinuata by Willmann (1984); it was recombined as Mesochorista sinuata by Ansorge (1995).
