Taxonomy

Ctenoptilus was named by Lameere (1917). Its type is Homalophlebia trouessarti. It is the type genus of Ctenoptilidae. It was considered unknown by Béthoux (2005).

It was assigned to Ischnoneuridae by Handlirsch (1922), Carpenter (1992); to Lobeattida by Béthoux (2005); and to Ctenoptilidae by Aristov (2014).

Eoblattina was named by Bolton (1925). Its type is Eoblattina complexa.

It was synonymized subjectively with Ctenoptilus by Béthoux and Nel (2005).

Ischnoneurula was named by Handlirsch (1919). Its type is Homalophlebia trouessarti.

It was synonymized objectively with Ctenoptilus by Handlirsch (1922), Béthoux and Nel (2005).

Ischnoneurilla was named by Handlirsch (1919).
