Taxonomy
Lamproptilia tenuitegminata was named by Bolton (1911). Its type specimen is MPG 24509, a hindwing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Resolven Station, which is in a Westphalian C/Westphalian D delta plain mudstone in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Boltoniella.
It was recombined as Boltoniella tenuitegminata by Handlirsch (1919), Bolton (1921), Handlirsch (1922).
