Juraesalus atavus
Taxonomy
Juraesalus atavus was named by Nikolajev et al. (2011). Its type specimen is NIGP 152456, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Daohugou (NIGP collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Daohugou Formation of China. It is the type species of Juraesalus.
