Taxonomy
Otiorhynchites wilcoxianus was named by Wickham (1929). Its type specimen is USNM 80472, an elytra, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Texarkana Pipe Company pits, Miller County, which is in a Bartonian pond claystone in the Cockfield Formation of Arkansas.
