Taxonomy
Morphna paleo was named by Vršanský et al. (2013). Its type specimen is PIN 5142/12, a tegmen, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Arkhara (PIN collection 5142), which is in a Danian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Darmakan Formation of the Russian Federation.
