Prionophyes acanthomerus
Taxonomy
Prionopus acanthomerus was named by Dalman (1826). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is East Africa Copal (Stockholm coll), which is in a Holocene terrestrial amber in Tanzania. It is the type species of Prionopus, Prionophyes.
It was recombined as Prionophyes acanthomerus by Alonso-Zarazaga and Lyal (1999).
