Taxonomy
Semidalis copalina was named by Meunier (1910). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Madagascar copal (Meunier collection), which is in a Holocene terrestrial amber in Madagascar.

It was recombined as Parasemidalis copalina by Enderlein (1930).
