Eocephalothrips capito
Taxonomy
Thrips capito was named by von Schlechtendal (1887). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Rott (Lord Dr Pohlig coll), which is in a MP 30 lacustrine - large lignite in the Rott Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Eocephalothrips.
It was recombined as Eocephalothrips capito by Bagnall (1924), Mound (1968) and Mound and Hastenpflug-Vesmanis (2021).
