Taxonomy
Tetrix was named by Latreille (1802). It is extant. It is the type genus of Tetrigidae, Tetriginae, Tetrigoidea, Tetrigini.

It was assigned to Acrydiana by Latreille (1802); and to Tetrigini by Storozhenko et al. (2015).
