Taxonomy
Quedius deperditus was named by Scudder (1900). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Scarborough Bluffs (Coleman collection), which is in a Pleistocene lacustrine deltaic siltstone in the Scarborough Formation of Canada.
