Taxonomy
Miocoenogenia gorbunovi was named by Tshernova (1962). Its type specimen is PIN 437/8, a nymph, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Belyy Yar, Tym River (PIN collection 437), which is in a Miocene terrestrial shale in the Russian Federation.
