Taxonomy
Podura taenita was named by Koch and Berendt (1854). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Berendt collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Poland.
It was recombined as Tomocerus taeniatus by Handschin (1926), Hädicke et al. (2013), Sánchez-García and Engel (2016).
