Taxonomy
Passalus indormitus was named by Cockerell (1927). It is not extant. Its type locality is UCMP P-3748, 11 miles east of Post, which is in an Oligocene lacustrine shale in the John Day Formation of Oregon.
It was recombined as Passalus (Passalus) indormitus by Reyes-Castillo (1977), Krell (2000).
