Taxonomy
Aeschna dido was named by Hagen (1863). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Rott (Krantz Bonn coll), which is in a MP 30 lacustrine - large shale in the Rott Formation of Germany.
It was considered a nomen dubium by Nel et al. (1994), Petrulevičius et al. (2011).
