Taxonomy
Stylentofurca serrata was named by Dumitrica (2013). Its type specimen is film 44417, coll. MGL 96899. and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mue 22, Mülheim radiolarians, Solnhofen, which is in a Tithonian open shallow subtidal wackestone in the Mörnsheim Formation of Germany.
