Araliaephyllum cachetamanense was named by Menéndez (1959) [No presenta diagnosis. Solo descripción.]. It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type locality is Cerro Cachetamán, which is in a Cretaceous terrestrial horizon in Argentina.
