Taxonomy
Carabilarva triassica was named by Makarov and Prokin (2013). Its type specimen is SMTE 5930/1-63, a nymph (larva), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Schönbachsmühle quarry, near Ebelsbach, which is in a Tuvalian pond shale in the Hassberge Formation of Germany.
